Hi there! I’m Ako, a Japanese girl totally in love with my own country.
I travel around Japan and share all the cool things I find—like anime pilgrimage spots, hidden gems you won’t see in guidebooks, and fun stories I hear from friends.
Since I’m Japanese, I also love sharing bits of our culture and food that you might not hear about elsewhere.
I’m not a travel pro or anything, just someone who loves exploring and sharing honest thoughts and little tips along the way.
If you’re planning an otaku-style trip around Japan, I hope my blog helps!
Let’s discover Japan together!

Let me share a little more about myself.

I live almost in the middle of Japan, which is a long, narrow country running north to south. My home is in Yamanashi Prefecture—a pretty local area, quite different from big cities.

Have you heard of Mount Fuji? Yamanashi is the prefecture where this famous mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage site, stands. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place.

To the north is Nagano Prefecture, known for Lake Suwa. To the south is Shizuoka Prefecture, with cities like Numazu and Hamamatsu. And to the east, Yamanashi borders Tokyo. So it’s a convenient spot—you can easily get to both countryside and city life.

Yamanashi is famous for its fruit—grapes, peaches, pears, plums, and cherries are big here. The Shine Muscat grapes, Kyoho, and Pione varieties are especially delicious!

The region is also well known for its wine. There are many big wineries where you can even do tastings, so I definitely recommend checking them out if you get a chance.

Japan also has its own traditional sake, which I absolutely love. Sake and Japanese food go hand in hand. If you visit Japan, you should definitely try some sake too!

Japanese culture is deep and rich, but I’ll try to write about it in an easy-to-understand way.

Even if you can’t visit Japan yourself, I’d be really happy if you could get to know the country through my writing. I want to share a unique guide to Japan that’s different from the usual travel books.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
